Frequently Asked Questions:
What are lash extensions?
-They are individual extensions made of a synthetic material to look like perfect natural eyelashes; thicker at the base and thinner at the tip with a slight curl. They come in many different colors. They are adhered one by one to a natural lash with a medical-grade bonding adhesive giving the appearance of a darker, more voluptuous lash-line. Our model in the image to the left showcases how beautiful, and natural the extensions look. Our model is wearing extensions on the left eye and you can see her natural lashes without extensions on the right.
Do they break off your natural lashes?
-They do not break off your natural lashes so long as the correct weight to fit each individual lash is applied. Our lash extension specialist is trained to know exactly what each individual guest needs. The only fall out that you will notice is the same amount of lash shedding the average person would have every day except the lashes are more noticeable because of the extensions themselves. A person has hundreds of lashes and have some shed every single day, just as the hair on your head does.
Will your natural lashes grow back?
-Your natural lashes grow back just as hair would, and have the same kind of follicle. They go through the same 3 phases as a normal strand does and will grow back when the follicle gets back to the original phase in that 4-8 week lifespan.
Do they hurt?
-They do not hurt at all, and if they do hurt, then something’s not right with the application and can be fixed.
Do they feel heavy?
– Not at all. You will be amazed at how light they are and how you virtually cannot feel them.
How long do they last?
-A full set of lashes last on average 4-6 weeks depending on at-home care. Guests can get touchups as often as they would like to maintain their lashes. After 5 weeks with no touch ups, a full application is generally necessary.
Do they take forever and a day to have done?
-Ok we can’t argue with this one: beauty takes time. Most full set applications take 2 to 3 hours to apply depending on the guest’s number of lashes, texture, and curl. But it’s so worth it 😉
