Hi Whitney! Tell us a little about your family.
“My husband, Chris, and I have been married for 4 years and together 8 years. We have a son, Trystan, who is 4 years old, and a daughter, Taylor, who is 2 years old. Trystan loves monster trucks and being a typical 4 year old boy. Taylor loves to do anything that her big brother does. She wants to be just as cool as him!”
What do you enjoy doing on your off time?
“Playing with my little peeps! We play monster trucks and superheros. My husband works nights, so Mondays are the only full days we have together. We have lunch and movie dates every week. Lately, we have been working on furniture projects for our house. I love taking something old and refinishing it to give it a fresh look. Chris just finished a brand new bed for our room that he made all by himself! It’s solid wood and awesome. I also enjoy cooking or going out for dinner as a family.”
What is your favorite meal?
“Mexican or steak!”
What is your favorite thing about being in the cosmetology industry?
“I love when people get their hair done, that you can see an instant confidence, and a sense of pride in themselves. It makes me feel good when I see that we accomplished their hair goals!”
How would you describe or define ‘beauty’?
“I don’t feel like beauty has to necessarily come from the outside. I think that a person’s true beauty comes from within and from what kind of heart they have and the type of person they are.”
Describe when YOU feel the most beautiful:
“When I look at my kids I feel a sense of pride that makes me feel beautiful. I’m proud that I get to be their mama. Also when my son tells me ‘Mama, you sure look pretty today!’ That’s pretty nice!”
Tell us a little bit about your Signature life:
“Signature is my home away from home and I can honestly say that I work with my best friends. We have a lot of fun around here! I have the reputation of being the salon ‘class clown’ and love messing with everyone!”
